The Delta Pietro Vannucci Dietto "Il Perugino" fountain pen is a fixed piston filler with an end-of-stroke clutch featuring an elegant silhouette celebrating the 500th anniversary of one of the greatest masters of Italian art - Pietro Vannucci (often called IL PERUGINO). Each Delta Limited Edition Pietro Vannucci Dietto IL PERUGINO fountain pen is fitted with a 14kt gold nib (available in varying nib sizes, including flex nib options). The pen's transparent ink window offers access to view the pen's ink level.

The Delta Limited Edition Pietro Vannucci Dietto IL PERUGINO fountain pen is designed to represent the aesthetics and artistic genius of a painter who left an indelible mark in the history of Italian art. Il Perugino's history began in the beautiful city of Perugia, where the artist refined his talent in local workshops before working in Florence alongside Leonardo Da Vinci and Sandro Botticelli.

Il Perugino is known as a master in painting landscapes and human figures with extreme elegance and harmony. One of his most famous masterpieces is "Delivery of the Keys to Saint Peter," a fresco in the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican (Rome). The work is considered one of the best examples of linear perspective and architectural representation, as well as an icon of Renaissance and religious painting.

The Limited Edition fountain pen's design evokes colors and architectural elements present in most of the extraordinary works of Il Perugino; it's made of special resin hand-turned from solid bar. The pen's cap band is gold-plated 925 sterling silver (vermeil), made using ancient "lost wax" techniques. The pen cap is enhanced by the special pen clip and cabochon, both made in "lost wax" fusion.

At the end of the pen's barrel, the pen features an octagonal decoration representing the geometric symbolism typical of Il Perugino, the same decoration engraved in the barrel design.
