The Cross Peerless Star Wars™ Darth Vader™ fountain pen commemorates the original 1977 film and was designed to reflect the powerful dark side of the force. The pen has impeccable detail from the Dark Vader mask etched on the cap to the control panel on his chest. The cap of the pen has been crowned with a red Swarovski® crystal symbolic of Darth Vader’s iconic lightsaber.
This Limited Edition fountain pen has only 1,977 pens made and each are individually numbered. The pen comes in a luxury Cross gift box with pen stand and Darth Vader decorative outer sleeve. Included is a collector's booklet with the story of Darth Vader.

So like most purchases, there is a story behind this one. I work in a mental health treatment team, helping people with severe mental illness. We just named our team name the "Jedi" and I wanted to have something to show the patients from Star Wars.
I also love fountain pens, so I grabbed one!
I've been generally impressed with this mixed heritage luxury pen.
The design is from Disney for Star Wars, the pen design is from Cross in Rhode Island, the nib if manufactured by Sailor, and is exquisite. The barrel and cap are metal, nicely finished, plastics/"lacquer" as cross refers to their plastics are manufactured, finished, and assembled in China. The Swarovski crystal from Austria.
Cross has outsourced its construction, but the factory is doing a fantastic job in China. Bravo!
High quality all around, no burrs, and the nib is excellent.
So for an all arounder, that I'm not afraid to bring to work. I highly recommend, but what do I know? I'm just a happy guy with a new pen.
Converter was included, and a nifty solid plexiglass stand.
Now if you don't mind Dun dun dun, dun, dun, dun. vader music....
