Each Benu Supreme fountain pen has been fitted with a stainless steel nib and accepts a standard international ink cartridge or converter. The screw-on cap can also be posted on the pen.

This pen has a taper as it that gets narrower towards the end of the barrel and thicker at the top of the cap. The pen has a silver ring that attaches a silver color clip. The barrel and cap have small sparkles inside the resin. So it is a blue resin with these small flecks that sparkle as the light hits them.
At the bottom of the cap the BENU is engraved into the cap. It is threaded and will unscrew. You can also post the cap on the end of the barrel of the pen, and it has a silver colored stainless steel nib and a black feed. The section will unscrew from the barrel of the pen. The pen has a ink converter included for use of bottled inks, or any standard international cartridge will work as well.

I like the design of this pen, though I’ve never been particularly attracted to the “blinginess” of Benu. I decided to give it a try. As another review mentioned, the clip and band were loose (mine fell off completely and I couldn’t get it back on). Additionally, the cap was loose. The whole thing felt poorly put together, especially given my inablity to reassemble the band and cap. I wound up returning it and will not likely purchase another Benu.

I was never fond of the early Benu line up significantly the Minima, Briolette and Chameleon designs which were just too small for my hand. I gave the Supreme a try since it was a larger and girthier pen. It came with the cap finial and clip loose in the box not attached to the cap. Pen was not that expensive so I glued it back myself instead of complaining about it and getting a replacement (Strike 1). The pen works well but I did not like the EF nib that came with the pen as it wrote like a medium/fine in my opinion so I replaced the nib with a Bock EF two tone nib (Strike 2). The pen works much better and it missed that unlucky strike 3. We all have our own likes and dislikes and I am pretty certain I will not get another Benu again.

I really like Benu pens. This one is especially nice. Very clean and elegant design with that bit of “Flash” from the sparkle - and it posts well! I’d recommend it!
