It's a heavy pen. The ballpoint pen writes smooth. Just be careful with the stylus tip as you can cut into it.

I don't ordinarily like ball point pens, but I liked the idea of the tools in this pen. It is heavier than I was expecting, but it is a nice pen for a ball point. I have had no blobbing while writing with it, which is my usual complaint about most ball points. The grip is rather thick, so I don't think it would be comfortable for long writing sessions for me, but I didn't buy it for that. It is more of a novelty. I keep it with my iPad for the stylus and to have a pen handy when needed for quick notes. I got it on sale, which made it a great value.
