And of course, we have the Kaweco Student Ballpoint Pen. It's a resin cap and barrel. This happens to be the yellow version of the pen, it has chrome colored accents. The top of the cap has an alternate Kaweco logo, and the Kaweco logo is also engraved on the clip of the pen. On the barrel another Kaweco logo or on the ring on the bottom of the cap, and Germany on the back side.
It also has Kaweco Student Germany on the top of the cap printed as well, and a simple, chrome colored tip on the end of the pen. Twist action ballpoint pen, twist the cap back and forth to extend and retract the ballpoint. Refill or twist the cap off, and you can replace the ballpoint refill. It does come with a standard Parker style refill, so refills are pretty easy to find since Parker style are pretty well available.

I got this for my wife. She was looking for a nice pen to match a planner she had purchased and this matched perfectly. She loves how it writes and the feel of it in her hand. It's a thicker barrel than some pens, which makes it easy to hold. Tracking for the shipment was weird, but it arrived in just a few days and she's thrilled with it.

This pen for me has the perfect size, weight, balance, refill type and quality I've been looking for for a long time for my daily writers; perhaps that's why I now have Students in black, red, vintage blue and yellow. I was looking for a ballpoint pen that is more than just something to hold a refill. I wanted one that is beautiful in design, comfortable to write with for long periods, solidly built, with superior fit and finish. In short, I wanted a ballpoint that could seamlessly join my collection of fine fountain pens. The Kaweco Student fits the bill in every respect, and adds a touch I didn't expect: a twist mechanism with spring in it. The pen's girth is greater than most ballpoints, though I don't think it's too much for small hands. And it has a nice heft that seems perfectly balanced as I hold it (above the metal nose cone), so I can write comfortably for as long as I have words. More expensive than run of the mill pens...and worth it.
