About the Karas Kustoms Bolt
The Karas Kustoms Bolt ballpoint pen is precision machined from aluminum, brass or copper. The weight of the pen varies by the material with the aluminum at 1.1 oz to the brass at 2.8 oz.
Each Karas Kustoms Bolt accepts a Parker style ballpoint pen or the Fisher Space pen refills. The refill extends and retracts with a push and a slight twist, "bolt style" action.

The box lid lifts open. Included with the pen is information about Karas Kustoms. Also, a nice sticker, and of course, we have the Bolt ballpoint pen. Its all aluminium, both the barrel of the pen, the knob on the end, as well as the clip and it's all machined. You can see the little screws that attach the clip on the pen. Nice, thick clip. Sturdy, it's not going to bend on you.
The pen has this little bolt action section, so you push down and twist to extend that refill. You can see how it catches in that little groove there, so you have to push it down and twist it to extend that refill. Pretty unique design, pretty cool the way that that works.
There is a seam here in the middle of the Bolt pen where the pen unscrews. And included with the pen is a Parker-style ballpoint refill. It's a Schmidt 9000, but it takes any Parker-style refill. Smooth, light, comfortable, beautiful! I ordered the aluminum bolt in gold anodization. I was surprised that I could operate the pen with just one thumb finger. I thought this pen would require two hands to operate, but not for me at least! Works almost like a regular clicker but you have to rotate your thumb a little to complete the motion and lock the pen in place. Very comfortable size, and I love the Schmidt easyflow 9000 refill!

I already had a similar pen that uses the G2 refills (pilot, uniball, pentel energel, etc.) but wanted to try a version that would accept my preferred Montverde capless roller-ball refills for Parker-styled ballpoints. The exact same quality as the pen I'm already used to. The only thing to be aware of is if you tend to have "sweaty" hands like I do - The smooth metal grip can become slick after a while.
