Wow this is the best writing pen I have! It is so smooth and never skips. I’ll definitely be getting another. It has a Sailor nib and is flawless!

The Taccia fountain pen with fine nib (Sailor) in forest green has been wonderful. I often use a Sailor 1911 with a gold nib and there is very little difference between the nibs. The Taccia is a little heavier than the Sailor and a bit unbalanced when posted, but this is minor. I'd recommend this pen for anyone who enjoys the smooth feel of a Sailor nib with that little bit of feedback that is characteristic of Sailor nibs. The deep green, more a teal, is also lovely.

I can't tell you how luxurious this pen feels in the hand. yes, it's a simple demonstrator pen, but some how they made it smoother than silk. I'm describing the feel of the barrel in the hand. It also writes very nicely! Also smooth. If you get the chance to buy one of these, you won't want to put it down. I got the green which is almost a blue, a very pretty color

Other people might say the style is average, I like simple lines. Some pen designers use a lot of chrome accents to the point that it distracts from the pen. This pen feels nice in the hand. It has a nice balance whether the writer chooses to post the cap or not. This is my second TACCIA Spectrum. My first one is a Forest Green with a fine point nib. I was so please with it, I ordered the Merlot with an EF Nib. This EF Nib writes so smoothly it has fast become one of my favorite pens to write with.
If you ask me which nib, Fine or EF, I prefer to write with, I could not pick one over the other. I like writing with both. The EF Nib writes with a nice fine line that is not either overly wet or dry.
Also, the Merlot is a very nice color.
Eventually, I will probably order the Ocean Blue once I can decide on which nib to get. I may go completely opposite and maybe get a broad nib.
Anyone who wants a great writing pen at a reasonable price should pick up one of these pens.

The smoothest writing pen I own — even compared to gold nibs.

It is simple, elegant, and a great value. I could not be more pleased.

This is an impressive pen. It's as well made as more expensive Japanese pens, and very well designed. The cap seals well, so the nib is always wet, and it posts into a secure, well balanced position. Also, with the Sailor-Taccia two-tone nib, it's an upgrade from all the Sailor low end, steel nib pens. The music nib I got writes as well as my gold Sailor music nib: I can't tell the difference. So effectively, it's like getting a full size Sailor pen (not the too-small "S" 1911) in a beautiful color, with a great writing, handsome nib, for about half the Sailor 1911 price.

This Taccia Spectrum (ocean blue color, Broad nib) is my first Taccia pen. Very pretty pen and great quality. Comfortable writer and a good size for me. I typically don’t buy Broad nibs, so this was something of an experiment. The nib says “B” on the side, but I am not so sure it really is a Broads, as it puts down a really thin line; more like a Medium. The pen came with a converter and an ink cartridge. When I used the converter, ink flow did not seem to be as good as I would have liked, even after trying different inks and papers. I switched to the ink .cartridge and feel the flow is better. I can’t consider these issues as defects. But the pen is not quite the “out of the box” performer I had anticipated, since the company has a really good reputation. I have not complained to Pen Chalet because I don’t view these as major flaws, and it is nothing they could do anything ablout. Pen Chalet is a very good company, and I will continue to support them.

The green I ordered is more of a beautiful teal. Overall, I can't get over how nice this pen is verse the price. The music nib puts down a wonderfully wet line and is just so slick. Really like the spring sealing cap. It took a little getting use to but I can tell it is a great quality feature.

This is for the Mosaic Umber M Nib.
This Sailor steel nib write like a graphite #2 pencil on copier paper . But I made a few gently figure 8s on a 0.3 micron grit mylar paper and now it's smoother with very little feedback on copier paper . Like this Sailor nib better than their gold nibs.
The gold nib feedback feels more like a #1 pencil graphite vs a #2 pencil feedback on this steel nib when writing. But I accidentally tuned it on micro Mesh and mylar paper, now it writes near a Pelikan pen smooth
Barrel. Is see through with nice brown and black tortoise shell designs.
