Wow says it all. Super smooth, nice line variation, and very comfortable for me. It has become my favorite take everywhere pen.

Bought the ivory variant with a fine nib. Even though I washed it before filling ink, it was very scratchy. Have tried to tune it myself, succeeded to some extent and then had to clean the pen out by putting the section, feed and nib in a vibrating bowl of water. There's a machine for that. Much better now but still scratchy and not expected from Sailor. Maybe it's because of the fine nib and medium nibs write smoother. I've used Pilot and Diamine inks in this and also the supplied Sailor Cartridge. Not much of difference beyond the vibrating clean. Wouldn't recommend the fine nib variants of Sailor pens

I went through a lot of issues trying to get the shipment outside the US and Ron was there all the while sorting out the problems and I'm grateful for his support (in spite of my many emails and calls to him with loads of probably impertinent questions and difficulties I was having).

This is a superior pen. I bought the Fresca color and I love this color. The pen has been amazing. But what is better than the pen is The Pen Chalet. Their customer service is the best I have experienced from an online seller.

Had some issues with the nib at first, but Pen Chalet was very responsive and made things right ASAP. Now one of my best writers (along with my Platinum 3776). My only complaint is it feels a little small in my hand, but that is an issue of design not performance.

I purchased the Fresca with a Zoom nib. This nib is incredibly versatile and fun to write with, as well as somewhat ornate in its design which is gorgeous. The color of the pen is even more stunning in person. Relatively light weight but comfortable in hand. Would highly recommend!

I received my 1911S pen in the Blue color with a fine nib. The pen is very light in weight compared to a Pilot Metropolitan. Uncapped may be a bit short for someone with larger hands. Capped gives a bit of a back weight but in a good way. The nib itself is beautiful and is a good match for my small handwriting and is smooth when used on high quality paper. The section itself is smaller than some pens, but if one tends to grip farther back, the threads for capping are very fine and hardly noticeable at all. I love the pen's classic look, it fits my small hand well, and the nib writes flawlessly.

A beautiful pen in the Fresca -- very much a robin's egg blue and available only in North America. The music nib is superb. This is an outstanding fountain pen.

I enjoy using the Sailor 1911 pen and the fine to medium nib does a good job with ink flow.
