I bought the Preppy with the 0.3mm point. It is altogether too fine a point for me.
I've since bought one with a medium nib. I'll see how that one behaves.
The pen writes smoothly. The 0.3mm point is rather dry however, and the Platinum blue-black ink is on the pale side, so the line is not the most visible. I've purchased some black ink cartridges this time around.
Only flaw is that the plastic body is thin around the threads where it holds onto the section.
My pen dropped on the floor, and cracked in this area. Thus, the purchase of another pen.

What’s not to like about this sweet little pen? It writes like a charm, is comfortable to hold, and is fun to use! I also have the green one! And, you certainly can’t beat the price! Brilliant! ??

I ordered the Preppy Fountain Pen in Pink with a fine nib. Love the look and feel of the pen, a bit of a dry writer with the standard cartridge included with the pen, but I have ordered a converter to try other inks to see if that makes a difference. I have since purchased a medium in a different color but have not yet tried it.

I have to admit for a cheap pen it writes like a more expensive pen. I just have one draw back and that the clip on the cap breaks easily. but, Over all, it writes like a dream.
