This is a classier looking Platinum Preppy. I'll be honest; I bought it reach the free shipping level, so I figure it cost me slightly less than a Preppy. It is a fantastic pen, especially at that price point. Looks nice, feels good, and write perfectly every time I snap off the cap. I pair my Night Sea Prefounte with Robert Oster Lake of Fire ink and enjoy!

If you want a slightly prettier looking Preppy, you could get this. I would say get the Preppy instead. It's pretty much the same quality of plastic and has the writing on the outside like the Preppy that makes it look like a cheap pen. If you want something that is actually nicer get the Plasir. Still for 10 bucks, it's hard to find a better value for money, other than the Preppy. The writing experience puts pens 5x it's price to shame. Like the Preppy it can be eye droppered pretty easily.

This pen writes very nicely as long as you flush it with water before inking it.

I was writing when the ink cartridge ran dry. I changed it out and the pen stopped writing. None of the usual methods of getting a pen to get the ink flowing worked. Very disappointed.

Love the color and how it writes. It is a slightly upgraded Preppy and a good starter pen. I would take it on trips with out worry about losing it (although I would be sad) as it writes and looks great. I got the dark blue one. Bought it on a whim since I've been impressed with my other Platinum pens.
