While this pen writes well, I am not fond of holding and using it. It is very lightweight and the grip section is slippery. It is feminine and elegant when closed but when it is posted a lot of the design gets covered.

I have learned to enjoy this pen , the more I use. It is a narrower pen then I generally use, but it writes smoothly and beautifully. The design is a bit more subtle then I expected, but none the less is pretty and unique.

Beauty,balance and function meet in this one pen. I enjoy the feel of the pen as well as how it writes. Certainly, the Maki-e is a quality pen that will becomes legacy in our family.

The pen is beautiful. It is definitely for the smaller hand, which I wanted. The customer service is very bad. I had questions and called, nobody got back to me??? Will not shop here again.

This is a beautiful pen and it has an 18 k gold nib that writes extraordinarily well--gllides over the page. It is very light and one can use it for hours. Pen Chalet also sold it for a nice price. And there is a person in consumer service named Jennifer who is a pleasure to deal with.
