Actually, the green Balance I purchased of the two I ordered was the better product...Love the color combination...Nice build and classic styling. Green & Gold...At 32.00, a decent price...Would return (for exchange) the Wine red...But, hate to return things.

Got the Cool Blue>F which is a great color and had some nice little details on it I wasn't expecting. Comfortable to use and cannot beat that Platinum nib. Very pleased with this fountain pen.

nice pen, but a tad disappointed so far in the ink flow at the beginning of writing. it doesn't write initially, so I have to make my first mark a second time.

I purchased a Platinum Balance/Cool demonstrator a few weeks back. The first one I was sent had some issues and would not write properly, even after flushing. I contacted Pen Chalet and they quickly sent out another pen, which writes wonderfully. The new pen is now one of my daily writers. Pen Chalet's customer service was top notch, with great communication, and now I have a great pen, too!

I own three Balances in different colors. The fine nib is excellent, with a fair amount of feedback. It's lightweight and comfortable to write with. A very handsome, high quality pen for this price. Note that it does not come with a converter. The Platinum converters are inexpensive and very good quality, but you do have to order them separately.

The pen is truly a 'wine red' color. The website photo makes it looks redder than it actually is - thankfully. Smooth writer and consistent ink flow always!

WOW! Platinum Balance pen in Red Wine color is truly a strikingly beautiful pen that looks and feels much more expensive than I had anticipated. Bought this for a pen to throw around on my desk at work without having to worry if someone used it, but, uh, no. Way to pretty to risk losing. Fine nib is very smooth and is perfect for the Platinum classic black in I decided to pair it with. Pen feels lightweight but balances really nicely after filled. Posts perfectly and feels perfect in my hand for a surprisingly elegant writing experience. Highly recommend, And, of course, Pen Chalet always gets it to me quickly and we’ll packaged.

I really like the Platinum pens. They do not dry out when capped for long periods. Very nice nibs. Lays down a good wet line. The color of the blue has a little bit of a purpleish hue.
