Platinum 3776 Century Fountain Pens Reviews

This is a very nice pen with a smooth writing nib. I really enjoy writing with it. It is comfortable enough to write with for long periods and the nib is smooth and wet.

Black Diamond is the latest color I chose to join the half dozen 3776's I already own. I truly love this pen and the soft-fine nib is my favorite. Of all the soft or flex nibs on the market, it is most like a true vintage nib, especially in its responsiveness. These nibs allow me to flex MY creativity and allows for nice thin fines in my flourishes-my own Spencerian-style handwriting appears the way it was intended to look about a century ago, near the time I learnt it. Clearly not a pen for beginners but if you have a practiced hand with flex nibs and value a responsive nib that does what YOU want, you may enjoy this nib as much as I. Great pen in all other aspects, its medium large size is comfortable to hold for long writing sessions as I've got arthritis. The slip and seal innovation does exactly what it advertises; hadn't picked up one of mine for nearly a year, yet the ink was as fresh as if I'd just filled, it wrote perfectly! This pen is already a classic and well deserved. The color and look of the pen is superb, like the Bourgones and Chartes Blues I have the Black Diamond is semi-transparent and the silver trim sets it off beautifully. I believe this soft-fine nib the best flex nib on the market, even if it were double the price (but glad its not), neither do I mind having to supply the converter. Thank you Platinum for such a FANTASTIC line of pens and that incomparable soft-fine nib, their other nibs are a joy too. Thanks also to Pen Chalet for such great prices and fast service.

Never been disappointed in a 3776. Platinum nibs are excellent. This color is gorgeous and I am very pleased I got it. I use either Platinum or Pilot inks in it and writes well. Even the drier Pelikan ink performs in this pen. I use Medium and Broad nibs.

I both the Platinum 3776 Century with music nib to draw. It looks very wet doing some tests in regular papers but I need more time using the pen in watercolor 100% cotton paper to tell if it will work as I hope. I use another brands with different nibs to create my artwork and I liked the size and the beautiful color and finish of this one.

The pen was great but the converter was missing, which I would like You to send me soon as possible.

This is a great pen. The line it draws is very very fine, which is exactly what I wanted, but there's still a little give in the nib. I'm not very into red, but the red pen is really quite beautiful and regal looking. Love the pen.

This is a great pen, beautiful semi-translucent red with the UEF nib finer than the soft fine, which is what I wanted. SF is also very good. The UEF wrote straight out of the box, although it took some feeding through, using the supplied cartridge. The nib has a precise sweet spot though. This pen is going to give me much joy. Delivery and service is top-notch.

Everything about this pen screams EXCELLENCE! Seriously, I have three 3776's and they are near perfect in every sense of the word. I'm sure I'll own more of this model.

This is a great pen. And a great value. Very smooth. And I love the color even more now that I have it in my hand.

I own four Platinum 3776 Century Fountain Pens in different nib sizes (F, M, B, C). These are amazingly consistent fountain pens that write smoothly--even in the fine. I left two of them inked and unused for 3.5 months and experienced no problems with them when I returned home. While all of the finishes are beautiful, the Chenonceau White is breathtaking. The color is a soft ivory suitable for all seasons; it exudes class. These are fabulous pens that hold up well under daily, heavy use. I use F, M and B as daily writers and use the C for signatures.
