Platinum 3776 Century Fountain Pens Reviews
This pen is a beauty! I ordered the Bourgogne - the body looks sleek, and the dark red and gold accents perfectly complement each other. I was expecting the nib to be slightly more springy, being a 14K gold one, but have gotten used to the slight feedback on the medium nib (I changed my order from broad to medium - in retrospect I would liked the broad as well). It wrote well right out of the box.

I like a fine point fountain pen and I have one particular use where I needed something "extra fine" and this is it. It's my first Platinum pen and I love it. It writes flawlessly and while I was skeptical about the claim that it pretty much wouldn't dry out, that is absolutely true.
This is a wonderful instrument. Fits the hand very comfortably, the nib, even in extra fine, isn't "scratchy," and I just can't say enough good things about it. To top off the wonderful pen, the good foiks at Pen Chalet got it to me very, very quickly.

This was my first Platinum pen. I got the UEF despite warnings of it having too much feedback for a lot of people. I find it perfect. Not too scratchy, but just a little feedback to let you feel your writing. Great price from Pen Chalet too.

This pen did not write well. It skipped, railroaded, and was much too fine. I have sent it back. I expected much smoother writing from a gold nib.

The Platinum 3776 fountain pen arrived in a timely manner along with my converter and a free bottle of ink. The 3776 has quickly become my favorite fountain pen, The double broad nib is smooth as butter. Truly a wonderful writer. I may purchase another one in the near future.

The way the SF wires was a bit if a shock, but this is a gorgeous pen.

To say that the Platinum 3776 Century models are excellent pens is to state the obvious. It's the individual colors, nibs and occasional deviation from the norm that make the difference. In a way it's hard to decide what the norm is. Let's suggest the standard is the black with gold trim. Everything else is a deviation. The colors and chasing and place names for lakes and mountains are each a step up from the standard. What that leaves me with is an appreciation for the colors and other embellishments in their own right. And I do like the LAUREL GREEN. It's subtle, but pleasing. Adding this model to your daily rotation or 3776 collection will make you happy. It made me happy.

This pen is larger than I thought it was going to be and the nib looks massive. But it is a smooth writer with a F nib, and the balance is good. I was disappointed that purchase did not include a converter. It would be nice to have them paired and sold side by side. There is some feedback to the nib, much like Sailor pens. I would not post the cap, as the pen is already largish for small lady's hand.

I love this pen. It writes so smoothly and doesn't bleed through the pages of my journal. My other less expensive pens have this problem.
