Platinum 3776 Century Fountain Pens Reviews
This was my first gold nib pen and after heavy use for several weeks it has become one of my top workhorse fountain pens along with my Leonardo Momento Zero. A few things I believe make this pen a good EDC. The style is professional (in the black), it is a very reliable writer without any hard starts or skipping, it is well balanced posted and is comfortable for long writing sessions. Finally, the gold nib provides a different feel (like a pencil) that gives a very pleasant feedback. Finally,, a couple things that could be better. It is a very light pen, made of plastic with a budget feel and the medium nib was a dry writer. I was able to open up the tines slightly with a brass shim which corrected this to some extent. Over all enjoy the pen and don't regret the purchase.

Nice pen and great nib. A little pricey for what it is but typical for Japanese pens. Great service as usual from pen chalet

I am loving the ultra-extra fine nib, it's smooth and clear and a much more appropriate size for practicing the Palmer method on lined paper. The color is a very dark blue except in the light, the gold trim is my standard preference. The nib is a much paler yellow than my Sailor 14k, for whatever reason. I don't like the balance when posted, but I never do with any of my pens actually. Great deal, very happy. If you're looking for a great tiny little nib, can't go wrong here.

I've long had my eye on the Platinum 3776 Century, and I'm very satisfied with my purchase. The 14kt gold nib (fine) is very fine indeed, and a pleasure to write with. I find it a light pen in weight, but well balanced and comfortable to hold, even when capped. I chose the black with gold trim, and I love that look. Very happy that this is now in my collection.

It was unexpected to see that a pen of this price range doesn't contain a converter in box. Rest everything was good

Great pen! Writes very smooth. I don't know why people pay around the same or even more for steel nib pens. Just don't damage the feed when deep cleaning, they are easy to break and hard to get.

I purchased the Bourgogne color with a soft-fine nib. The pen is very well finished and the color is spectacular! The soft-fine nib is a little finer than I was expecting, but I think it will require finding an ink with the right wetness to flow well. This is not a flex nib, but does give good variation with a tiny bit of pressure. I have largish hands and don't have to post the cap to use the pen, but posting does make it more comfortable for me to use and doesn't back-weight the pen. It does post securely and fairly deeply. I think I am hooked on this model!

This is one of the more expensive pens I own as I'm quite a newbie and not ready to commit a lot of money to fountain pens. Yet. But I specifically sought out this one because of its reviews online and was swayed by the soft fine nib. I'm absolutely in love with how sturdy this pen feels and the nib allows me to go bold with my writing.

At the beginning, pen didn't write. It was dry and the feed didn't get wet. I took off and put back the cartridge several times. It didn't work. Then, I sequized the cartridge and the ink came from section but not from feed. A friend suggested keeping the nib+section in water few hours. I did. In addition, I did several flashing. Finally, it worked out. Ok, I admit the pen is fantastic! Soft fine is behaving like fine flex. Very smooth and neat! I love the pen. I am happy that I was able to fix the problem
