Pilot Vanishing Point Collection Fountain Pens Reviews

This is a gorgeous pen and the stub nib is really nice - a jump for me as most people think of Japanese brands for their fine and extra fine nibs.It's a large and heavy pen (all metal barrel) which isn't in any way bad, but is something to be aware of especially when buying online if you've never held or used a Vanishing Point before.

The retracting nib works flawlessly and is really a fantastic design. Tough to beat the "Stormtrooper" styling of white with black nib and trim.

This review is for the Bronze version of the pen with a medium nib. I had ordered a Green version but liked the bronze too, and kept it. When I hold the pen to write with, the clip lies between the thumb and index finger and that is the only uncomfortable thing about this pen. That's my only grouse with it. The nib was buttery smooth and the feel of the pen in hand while writing is excellent. No dry starts and moderately wet. I went through a lot of issues trying to get the shipment outside the US and Ron was there all the while sorting out the problems and I'm grateful for his support (in spite of my many emails and calls to him with loads of probably impertinent questions and difficulties I was having).

I am enjoying my new Vanishing Point pen as my everyday carry pen. I have purchased a number of fountain pens I enjoy writing with. And when I am wring a couple pages I like my other Pilots. The ease of opening and closing this pen make the Vanish Point my preference for my normal pen uses when I read and take notes, or jot a note during a conversation. It is a smooth writing pen with good ink flow. And I like that the nib cartridge inside can be swapped out with another. — I like using different pens for different things and now this is my shirt pocket pen. Highly recommended.

I love this pen. I bought the matte black, and it looks gorgeous. The pen has a nice matte texture and is cool to the touch. I love the retractable nib, which is springy, wet, fine, and so nice to write with. Mine included the Con40 converter, which I was very pleased with. Everything about this pen is nice, and it’s at an incredibly affordable price for a gold-nib pen.

This pen is truly excellent. Pilot does a wonderful job with the design and nibs on these pens. I have no tried the matte versions, but the rhodium or gold accents are stunning in person. I have the Raden Galaxy and the Blue Carbonesque; both are very eye catching. The pens are weighty, and I don't mind the grip. Not a very large ink capacity but I don't mind a bit. Would recommend for a unique piece to add to your collection.

Love it. I didn't think I would ever like anything as much as my Lamy 2k, but this one might end up beating it. I love the convenience of the click top and I love how it looks and it writes fantastically.
