Pilot Prera Collection Fountain Pens Reviews

Great little pen~light weight and a smaller pen but it has a nice fine nib.

This is one of my favorite pens. I like it better than my Metros. I'll probably be getting another one soon. The nib is smooth and the feel is great.

The Prera caught me by surprise—thought it would be too small, but gave it a shot, as I love Pilot pens. It has everything I love about Pilots—wonderful nib and writing experience, and I love the way the cap clicks onto the pen. Because it is lightweight, posting it doesn’t affect the balance and extends the length. The only problem is now I want one in every color!

Great pen! Would highly recommend as a gift for an individual as the packaging down to the pen is beautiful with everything included except for the ink. And it writes like a dream.

I bought this in the orange demonstrator colour with a medium nib. The medium nib is an excellent writer. Well done Pilot. My pen came with a CON-40 converter, which, as you know, that converter is a little bit of a pain. It's alright though.
What I really like about the cap is the way it feels good in the hand even for its size. I have small hands—small enough to use this pen comfortably unposted. But I still post it for convenience. It's well-balanced and lightweight, good for taking notes.
The snap cap feels heavenly. Every good thing you've heard about that Prera cap is true. It's indescribable. The cap glides on smoothly and clicks into place so satisfyingly... It's so smooth. Yet it's firmly on there. No worries to be had about the cap coming off randomly in your pocket or pen roll.
Overall, I really like the aesthetics. Only a small issue with the inner cap liner being white and not clear. On a clear demonstrator too? Seriously? Oh well. It's a very minor complaint I have.
The pen is an excellent writer. Every ink I've put in it does great. Mine is a bit of a wet writer, which compensates for the dry ink I've put in it.
The US price for these is a bit high compared to Japanese Domestic Market prices. But I would say the Pilot Prera is still an excellent pen for this price. Highly recommend it. Just do your research and make sure it fits your hand. I know I have smaller-than-average hands, your mileage may vary.

Great feeling nib but a little too small for my taste. The construction seemed top notch and the slide cap was very buttery. Just wish it was a bit larger.

I ordered the Prera in blue and love the subtle shading of the specific sections of the pen with the view of the ink in the transparent barrel. Great writer thus far, very smooth, no hard starts, even after several weeks since last use. I would definitely recommend this one!

I really enjoy the look and feel of this pen. The overall construction feels good in your hand. I do wish it would write a little more wet for my preference.
