I am soooo very pleased with my pen, I have other pens I have paid ALOT for and this pen outdoes them all. The FINE NEB is exactly as I wanted. As soon as I can, I am coming back for more pens, nibs, converters that I have needed for years but didn't know how to or where to order them. Thank you Pen Chalet and Teri Morris, you have my deepest respect for being what every company should be like.

I'll admit a bit of surprise at the quality of this pen at this price point. Haven't used the cartridge as I already had bottled ink, the writing is smooth and flawless. Highly recommend this pen. Extremely happy with this purchase.

The Pilot Metropolitan is widely described as the perfect starter fountain pen, and with good reason! The Fine nib is nearly a needle point, so if you're concerned about feedback or scratchy writing on most paper, go with the Medium point. The Medium puts down a line comparable to a Lamy F nib.
The plastic section is light weight, but not cheap feeling. The pen is easy to pull apart for a full cleaning.

This was my first ever fountain pen (well, except for a cheap one from a drugstore 15 years ago). This pen is, as some have said, an excellent starter pen, at least for me. Even though it is only $15 it feels so fancy and well-made. I couldn't be happier. I really have nothing to compare it with (there is NO comparison between this and a drugstore pen), but if you are new to fountain pens and don't want a large investment, this is definitely a good choice. I got the turquoise Retro Pop and it is so pretty. I just love it.
