The weight balance and the Knight is great, and the nib writes smoothly with a line thickness that I prefer (medium-bold with no bleeding). The Namiki ink that is recommended for this pen has decent glide, and dries quickly without smearing.

I was looking at the Metropolitan originally, and went for this due to the discounted price. The pen feels good in the hand, looks nice, and writes well, but it's certainly B stock hence the discount. For $24 I'm mostly satisfied but there's no way this pen should sell for $48. It had a few scratches from manufacturing but I can live with it for the price. The nib is actually the same as the $10 plumix and the $14 MR but the body is all metal on this.

This is an incredible pen for the price. It would be excellent for fountain pen beginners and old timers alike. The nib is smooth and always has ink at the ready. It's super easy to fill and clean; the maintenance on this is as simple as a flush. No adjustment or tuning was required for the nib to feel luxurious; I still can't believe the price. The pen feels substantial but well-balanced in the hand. When writing, the weight falls on the nib requiring virtually no pressure from the writer. The pen looks modern, stylish, expensive, and matches a Macbook perfectly. This is definitely a step up from the Metropolitan and is worth the few extra dollars. You can't go wrong with this one. This would be an awesome gift!

Good deal on savings. Great pen for the price. This was one of my first fountain pens and it works great. I've upgraded now to a Parker IM Premium now and will continue to use this as well

This stylish Pilot Knight has the visual appeal of satin silver with chrome trim. Its pocket clip has a sturdy look that also functions perfectly. The weight and balance are just what they should be and its nib writes smoothly with a good ink flow. Overall, I like it!

Love the smooth feel of this pen on paper. The nib took a little longer than some others to get started, but the flow has been great ever since. I do find that I have to be more careful as a left-handed writer to keep the pen angled enough more than some others.

I purchased two of these pens as starter pen gifts and the recipients love them. They have told me that they never had a pen that wrote as smoothly as this one. I know these guys were newbies so they were probably comparing the experience to writing with their nastly little ballpoints but after using the Pilot they are not going back. Fit and finish are good and the pen looks and feel solid.

Only one big issue - the squeeze convertor. The bulb cannot be compressed enough to completely fill the reservoir. This is in part due to the design of the convertor as it has a structural cage that fits over the bulb and restricts how and where your fingers can press. You end up with only about 1/2 the ink you'd have in a disposable cartridge. So my advice is to either stick with the prefilled cartridges or to use a piston convertor.

I LOVE this pen!! It writes so smoothly and does not leak. It did take awhile to get it started but it was worth the wait. Shipping was extremely fast. I will definitely be ordering again!!! Thank you for a great product at a great price!!!

It took a minute or two for the ink to flow, and now it performs well with no skipping. I'm very pleased...
