Pilot Kakuno Fountain Pens Reviews
I adore the Kakuno pens. The only thing that would make them better would be if I could make them eyedropper pens. (Yes, I know there's a way to modify them, but I'm too lazy for that.)
I'm a grownup, but I do love the little faces on the nibs.

I bought the clear Kaliningrad with an extra fine nib to test ink samples. I really like the thinness of the line. I inked it with Lamy Obsidian and like the dense black. The nib has a bit of feedback but not bad. For the price I really like this pen

This pen is so great! I had the medium and fine nibs and really wanted to try the extra fine. It was only available in the demonstrator body, and was the same price as the other colors(unlike some stores, which charge more for the clear and/or extra fine variety). My initial reaction was that it was very very fine, and somewhat scratchy. However, I quickly realized that it was probably because I was trying to write very large and very fast. I decreased the size of my writing, and immediately fell in love. YOU CAN WRITE SO TINY!! I did a comparison to my other nibs, and this one obviously came out on top. I gave it to my husband yo try, and he claimed it for himself. No worry, I gladly accept any excuse to buy more.. Overall, the kakuno is my favorite pen, and I love it so much I have no interest in buying anything fancier or more expensive. I use it for my studies, and I have no desire to show-off or catch anyones attention. I would appreciate more color options in the fine-nib, perhaps even some of the limited edition colors, if possible. Also, my experience with Pen Chalet has been superb. Thank you!

EF nib is a dog, sadly I need to get better eyes or this thing writes darn too fine. It's a nail but a beginner nail that writes out of the box. Compact and takes a pumping con-70 so has a lot of value going for it. If I were to do it again (not) get F or larger nib size. I'd say this beats my 6X more expensive brass travelers notebook FP as a better compact carry. Expensive enough to get it with the con-70 for EDC or secondary, but prefer Lamy Safari over Kakuno.
