Pilot E95S Fountain Pens Reviews

I used this as a Christmas gift for someone. These Pilot E95S with their 14K gold nibs write just wonderfully. Best bargain for a gold nibbed fountain pen on the market... maybe. Their only "negative" is they don't hold much ink using a CON40 converter, which is understandable, seeing there isn't much room for a converter. If you can fine one, a CON-B squeeze converter hold double the amount of ink, but it more old school and hard to find I think. Using Pilot's preparatory ink cartridges hold more than a CON40, but not as much as a CON-B. Great fountain pen and easy to wear with a std pocket shirt.

This pen was on my want list for a long time and let me say it does not disappoint! Beautiful, writes well and I love the easy slide on and off of the cap. It is everything everyone says it is and more.

This is a beautiful pen (I have the burgandy/pilot version) with a very nice nib. The capping action is mesmerizing. The one "issue" I have is that the converter sits so deeply in the pen that you cannot see how much ink is left. So I am using an empty cartridge and filling it with ink. I highly recommend this pen and Pen Chalet!

The only question I have is: why didn’t I buy this pen sooner?

The Pilot E95S is a vintage looking pen to me. It is one of the most affordable Pilot gold nib pens. The more I have written with it the more I am liking it. It is a very smooth nib, very typical of a Pilot nib. I have a medium nib which I like greatly. The ink line is very nice and somewhat wet but not overly. Currently inked with Diamine Bilberry the pen and ink have behaved perfectly. The cap is unique with the way it slides on and off the pen, also the posting of the cap is also different and very nice. It is an enjoyable pen to write with. I am happy I went ahead and made the purchase, it has been a very nice pen to use.

This was purchased for my adult son as a birthday present. His nickname is "E" so I thought it would make a nice gift for him. He has never used a FP before and is really happy with it. He is writing letters with it, asking about ink, and he puts it back in the box after every use so it won't get damaged. He's now looking at the Kaweco AL Sports to use as a pocket pen. I have the maroon/ivory version of the E95S and the nibs on these pens are just superb as is Pilot's renowned craftsmanship.

I have quite a few pens, but added this in the burgundy. It has a very different look & I was tempted by the 14K nib at a great price. It writes beautifully; my medium seems more like a western medium which I like. It has just the right ink flow (Diamine Syrah). I thought it might be too light or feel insubstantial in some way, but it feels like a quality pen. I usually don't post pens but I do with this. It is a great pen and a joy to write with - I highly recommend it.

Lovely smooth nib, a real pleasure to use. It's a bit short without the cap, but still usable. I only use the pen with the cap posted because my hands are large.
