Pilot Capless Decimo Fountain Pens Reviews

I prefer the Decimo over the standard VP because of its smaller size. The F nib writes smoother than I expected and now I'm tempted to try the Decimo in an EF. I like the springiness of this nib. It lets you know you're writing with a fountain pen.

I'm disappointed whit my Pilot Decimo. Normally a Japanese medium nib is closer to a Western fine, so knowing this I order my pen in a medium nib size. Much to my surprise, it really is a medium and maybe closer to a broad size! I could order a new nib but that would be almost the cost of a new pen. So be advised, the Pilot Decimo medium nib really is a medium! Other wise, it's is a beautiful, well made pen and works as advertised.

I have a vanishing point and got this because I love the color. Never occurred to me I would notice the thinner barrel as well. The color is lovely, the thinner barrel is great (and I think I have pretty normal-sized hands) and as usual, the Pen Chalet customer service and speed of shipping only added to my enjoyment of this pen.

I love this pen! I am one of those people that holds their pen weird, so the clip does bother me during long writing sessions and makes it more difficult to keep the nib in the "sweet spot", but the nib makes up for all of that! I have the fine nib and it is so smooth and writes so nice-I really just love it!

This Decimo is absolutely beautiful and so well balanced. The grip section is smooth and comfortable. I ordered an extra fine and it is indeed extra fine and never skips. I want another Decimo because I like this one so much - maybe the next one will be a fine point. Just need another Decimo so I'll use the excuse of trying another point size!

It combines the ease of use of a clickable ball point pen with the writing style of a fountain pen. The EF point of my pen scratches a little. The point on my Lamy 2000 (either fine or EF?) is absolutely smooth.
