Pilot Capless Decimo Fountain Pens Reviews
I've had the good fortune to keep my job during the pandemic and be able to work at home. I only do a limited amount of writing by hand in my job - often just signing something, working on another document for a couple of minutes, then signing that. It's frequent enough that it gets annoying to deal with a pen cap over and over. So I decided to splurge on this. It's by far the most expensive pen I've ever purchased, but in just a few weeks it's brought me enough joy to be worth the cost. It's a real pleasure to write with - so smooth. The weight is just right and the clip isn't a bother to me at all. I got the medium nib, and it's a little broader than I expected - it seems broader than the medium in other Pilot pens I've owned. I'd rather have a nib that's too broad than too fine, so I don't mind it. I wish the converter held more ink - I'm not sure what the deal is with it, but no matter what I do, it doesn't fill enough for the ink to even be visible in the part of the converter that's not hidden in the bottom part of the pen. I have to turn it upside down to be sure there's ink in it. I'm sure I have it attached securely and as far in as it can go. Still totally worth the money for this pen. I wasn't in love with any of the colors - I wish there were more finish options for this pen. I got the champagne color and it's nice - I like it, but don't love it.

This is a good writer, but I would have preferred a medium nib. I have to try a few more inks, but black is the only one that made this write smooth so far.

This is my "Go-To Fountain Pen" and take it with me on most all of my travels. It is considerably lighter than the regular size Vanishing Point Fountain Pen but also, uses the exact same Nib Units. The Nibs are very smooth writing and a joy to write with. I even bought one for my wife, who is not a "fountain pen person", and she enjoys writing letters with it. I highly recommend the Decimo and am happy to see they are offering them in more color options and look forward to even more, as well as Special Editions.

Purchased as a gift, for someone in frequent meetings and a note taker. The Decimo is very lovely to look at and write with; something that takes time to overcome is the placement of the clip at the finger grip area of the pen.
The pen's reservoir fills easily and fully. Given the one characteristic mentioned it is a recommended pen.

Lovely, lovely pen! The description of the colour as "purple" doesn't do it justice: it's more like a metallic lavender, which suits me to a tee. Also, the gold nib is softly flexible and a dream to write with! The vanishing point feature, of course, is what drew me initially to this pen. I'm going to get spoiled not having to deal with a cap. Feels solid, too. This one and my Pilot Metropolitan stub nib pen are my 1 & 2 go-to pens.

The pen itself is great, I do not own a full size vanishing point but based on my pen body, I picked correctly for me.
The only issue I had was that I purchased a medium based on the Pen Chalet Nib Helper, which said a Pilot Medium is analogue to a Lamy Fine.
When I received and started using my Medium Decimo, I came to find that it is definitely a medium, and not remotely close to a German Fine! That was a bit disappointing as I have now used it too much and cannot return it for a fine, and the replacement nib is half the price of a new pen itself.

I love my Champagne Decimo. Japanese EF nibs are the best EF nibs. I also love the functionality of the retractable nib. So convenient.
