Pelikan Stola III Fountain Pens Reviews

Great pen. Except for the inability to post the cap as others have noted. I did not think much of it, but I almost dropped the pen once because I am so used to the posted length when I write. Now I take care. But the pen is excellent.

This is a nice pen. Note: I thought at first I might have a problem because I could NOT get it to write! After trying a couple of things, I removed the cartridge, took the pen to the sink and cleaned it thoroughly with a tiny bit of Dawn dishwashing liquid in water.

I the reinstalled the cartridge and after the ink got to the nib, it was fine. It's a tiny bit heavier than I like, and it doesn't really post, but those are pretty minor considerations for me.

Lesson learned: be diligent about cleaning pens before the first use!

I am very happy so far! Just started using it - possibly a little thicker line than I would wish for, but generally smooth and fun to write with.

I love this pen. I have more expensive Pelikan pens than this one and I always come back to use the Stola. I fill it with Pelikan Topaz and the medium nib shows off the ink color beautifully.

I am not fond of medium nibs (prefer extra fine nibs) but this one is an exception.

Great pen for daily use. As it is not too expensive it makes a good carry pen. It has a nice weight, I am not a fan of very light pens, this pen has a reasonable weight.

Great nib that writes well and consistently. This is a solid, hefty and sturdy fountain pen.

I love the Stola III. I had not heard of it before I saw it on the site. It writes super smooth and feels good in my hand. The cap does not post but the pen has enough weight, but not to much, and is long enough that it feels comfortable in my hand. I a really nice pen for a reasonable price.

This pen looks excellent capped, and pretty decent uncapped. The weight is nice. The pen is a little short and pretty thin, so I really wish it posted. It does not post. It also only comes in a medium nib, which is quite wide, and that is a drawback. On the plus side, it has a proper standard international cartridge nipple, so it can hold any standard international converter.
