    Pelikan Stola III Video Script

This is the Pelikan Stola III Fountain Pen. It comes in a grey, cardboard box. The Pelikan logo's printed here on the upper corner of the box lid, which lifts open and of course we have inside the Pelikan Stola III Fountain Pen.

All metal components on the pen, the barrel and the cap, the clip, it's all metal. It has a silver matte color and a glossy finish over that silver matte. Black accents throughout the pen, black clip. You can see on top of the cap the Pelikan logo's printed there in black and then you can see that clip design has a hole here, in the clip in the front, and that clip wraps around both sides and meets in the back of the cap.

Pelikan is printed here at the bottom of the cap, it has a small black band between the cap and the barrel of the pen and at the bottom of the barrel is just a black, little resin cap. The cap on the pen snaps off and it cannot really be posted on the pen. It doesn't feel real secure to me so it can come off, it's not a real secure post but it is postable if you'd like to. Probably would use the pen without that cap posted. The section on the pen is a black, glossy resin finish. It doesn't feel like there's any ridges or anything to get in the way of my grip, so I like the way that it feels in my hand.

The nib on the pen is a stainless steel nib, you can see the Pelikan logo engraved on that nib and the section there on the backside. It's a cartridge converter style pen so to change the ink you unscrew that section from the barrel of the pen. And included with the pen is an ink cartridge, it's an Edelstein ink cartridge and those are a little longer than typical ink cartridges. So the barrel of the pen is actually not real long but it a will accept an ink converter. So if you want to use bottled inks, you can buy a converter for the pen and add that later, either the Pelikan or some of the other standard universal ink converters will work with the pen.

Like I said, it's just a a great starter fountain pen, pretty inexpensive price, the performance on the pen is outstanding, it works really well. I really like the performance of it and the design. Get your Pelikan Stola III Fountain Pen at PenChalet.com!

The Pelikan Stola writes every time and the line is dark, wet and smooth. Comfortable grip. I would not attempt to post this pen. It is long enough to be comfortable un-posted.

This is a wonderful pen, and I got it a great price with you guys when I visited to pick up another order. Glad I bought it -- solid, wet line, sturdy like most German pens. Especially nice for a lower end price. Thanks for letting me pick up in person. Bill M., Mesa, AZ

The Stola lll fountain pen has arrived, and already clocking milage with it. I must say, when I took the pen out of its box, I was taken aback a bit because it is smaller and lighter than most pens. But any doubts I had about being happy with such a small, dainty writing instrument vanished immediately after I wrote a couple of lines with it. Happy, happy, happy. And for the price, WOW! You guys have hit the jack pot once again with this pen. Thanks.

This pen writes very nice. I have always wanted to own a Pelikan pen but was unable to due to price point.
Thank you for making this pen available at a great price.

This is an amazing pen. I can't believe I actually got it for $18. The price has since gone up to $20, but even that's a bargin. It's well worth $50 or more.

It is wet, smooth, well balanced, and the molding on the grip lacks a seam (a common complaint of mine regarding this kind of grip). Out of the box, it just works and is is probably my third favorite pen after my Lamy 2000, CP1, and ahead of my TWSBI 580 AL. My only complaint is that it can hard start if you you haven't used it in 24 hours, but bare in mind that I use iron gall inks which tend to be dry. For those using wetter inks, I doubt you'll have any issues with starting, but may find the nib too broad.

The only other potential issue is that the pen doesn't post. I tend not to post my pens anyway, so it doesn't matter to me.

If this came in another color, I'd probably by another pen. If it came in two other colors, I'd probably buy two more. This is a great pen at an unreasonably great price.

Hard starts after short time of not using (capped overnight for example) but still a great smooth writer especially for the price Pen Chalet offers!

writes very wet. Decently weighted when posted. The nib is a bit too round for my taste, but it was one of my very first pens, so I didn't really know what I was ordering. It's fine.

Just got my pen today. Like my other Pelikan pens this a high quality writing instrument for a very reasonable price. Great Value. A very nice weight with both the cap on and off. The length of the pen is excellent for both of these writing styles. I really like the modern sleek look of this pen. The medium nib is excellent and just right for me.
