Very pleased with both Ahab pens and also love the beautiful color of the Noodler’s Generals of the Armies ink. I also appreciate the 10 per cent discount, the free shipping and the friendly helpful young lady who helped me. I’m very happy with Pen Chalet. Thanks very much!

It is a good thing for the price. But, Sometimes the ink is spilled so easy that my hands become dirty.

My new favorite pen. It's responsive, doesn't run out of ink every 5 minutes, and is always ready when I am. It's as bold as I'm almost ever going to need, when I want it to be. The rest of the time, it's just a comfortable, easy to use writing companion. The day I decided to try this pen was a happy day, indeed.

I love the Ahab pen - it's my second go-to behind the Neponset. I like the Ahab when I'm looking for a finer line with less thickness variation. The Ahab does have a decent amount of variation when you apply more pressure, which is hard to do when I'm just writing casually. But if you want some nice line weight, this has it available. It's basically thinner than the Neponset, and thicker than the Konrad. (I own all three, and use them accordingly depending on the thickness I want). Excellent quality pen for the price.

I love Noodler’s everything right now especially the Ahab because I can take it apart and mess with it. Writes beautifully, is light weight and holds a lot of ink either in the piston or the body of the pen.

Another great purchase from Pen Chalet. I am hooked on demonstrators and the Ahab is a welcome addition to my collection.

Excellent pen right out of the box. I inked it with HOD and honestly haven't bothered to try any other inks in it yet because it writes like a dream. The nib is nice and springy and writes pretty wet with a little pressure, which I like. I love the filling mechanism (do 2+ pumps to avoid the air bubble) and took it off to try the 308 cartridges, which also worked exactly as expected. Very easy to assemble and disassemble. It will leak inside the cap a bit, especially if you drop it on the floor, which can sometimes get ink on the part you put your fingers on. Other than that, no complaints.

I was totally expecting to hate this ubiquitous pen. However, it is a lot of fun. I love putting wild color inks in it and just laying down crazy looking stick figures, because an artist I am not. It is teaching me to use a wide/flexy nib and I am thankful.
