A great pen for the price. I usually stick with gold nibs, but this steel nib even has enough flex to give some nice line variation. A bit scratchy so you feel the paper. And it is really striking looking.

This pen writes very well and has a good size. It is the best Yafa pen I have purchased.

Lightweight pen. The swirls are more yellow than green, but it still looks nice. The nib is huge in comparison to the pen, but I like that. The stub nib I got was wet and smooth but not a firehose. It even had a fair bit of flex, which was surprising. The included threaded converter is great - all converters should be threaded. It takes standard international cartridges, and includes one blue and one black cartridge. The box is stunning. This pen seems like it should cost $120, but I paid nowhere near that.

I received the Monteverde Prima yesterday, as expected the pen looks fine, the pen cam in a beautiful green leather case, inside the box was the instruction and warranty card along with a small plastic bag with two in refill cartridges. Unfortunately one of the cartridges was dry, the other however went right into the pen and immediately I started to try it, the pen is very light, the green color is vivid and as the light hits it gives a different shine to the green that is very hypnotizing, the ink flowed very smoothly no scratching or delay in the fluidity of the ink. For being my first fountain pen I am very satisfied with my purchase.
