This is a nice pen but if your hands perspire, the grasp area is very slippery. Nice balance posted or not.

Very stylish pen. I have a blue one and the limited terracotta one, both extra fine. It took a little bit to get used to the nib since they’re my first Lamy’s. Very light and posts well.

Excellent writer. Was a bargain in my opinion. I enjoy Lamy fountain pens in general, good smooth nibs.

The stainless steel Studio fountain pen is an absolute joy to write with. Unlike the other Studios, this model has a mat black plastic grip section, this makes the pen much more comfortable with less slippage over long writing sections. I have swapped out the section at times to use with my blue studio to avoid the "slippery" feeling of the original shiny metal grip. The brushed stainless steel is subtle, not "flashy", quite workplace friendly. Of course the Lamy interchangeable nibs is smooth, not scratchy with faint feed-back.

I bought two of these. They're solid heavy pens, but quite comfortable to use with the cap off. I'm getting a lot of use out of both.

This is about the Wild Rubin model. A nicely-styled Lamy fountain pen, in an eye-catching but not super-flashy shade of red. It has a nice weight and is well-balanced in my hand. The smoothest-writing fountain pen I own.

The most compelling praise is for the merchant, Pen Chalet. We can purchase pens from many Dealers/Retailers, and there's no difference in the product. Lamy produces excellent writing instruments--the 2000 pen is famous, and I purchased that product from Pen Chalet as well. The Studio has an appealing finish called brushed stainless steel, and the steel nib performance is excellent. So I am happy!

The Lamy Studio is a smooth pen. Elegant. Wonderful to write with. I have not had any problem with the any of the Lamy Studio pens I own.

My two favorite pens that I have purchased from Pen Chalet have been the Lamy 2000 and the Lamy Studio. At the time I purchased the Studio, it was the most expensive pen I had ever bought. I was very excited when placing the order and mistakenly ordered the incorrect nib size. The next morning, I contacted customer support via email and a phone message and within an hour or so received a call. Even though the order was packaged and just about out the door, they were able to re-package my order with the correct size nib. I appreciated that support didn’t make me feel bad, even though the error was 100% on my end. I have always appreciated the quick shipping and excellent order communication. I never have to wonder where my order is or how long it will be until it is shipped. I’ve placed seven orders with Pen Chalet and plan to place more in the future.
