I purchased this pen after trying my daughters pen. I was so impressed by the low cost and excellent feel that I had to own one. I have been using this pen for taking notes that I would normally do in pencil. Service and speed of shipping was beyond my expectations, amazingly quick service. Great job to all involved.

The pen performs well, had a "little" trouble getting the ink to flow a few times, but used a notepad with downward strokes until it flowed better. The weight of the pen is very nice, the overall appearance is pretty, like the oversized clip. Great on-sale price. Makes a great everyday pen.

Smooth writer, and fun to hold. I had gotten used to a pen with a resin body and was worried that the plastic would feel too "plasticky", but the unique shape and smoothness of the nib override all of that. I also enjoy how the color of the ink peeks through. Love the extra-fine nib for note-taking and letter writing.

My bright red Lamy Safari with the extra-fine nib is very cool. It was purchased with the LZ24 converter. If you want to do some detailed calculations on a small post-it note, this pen is absolutely ideal. Detailed Japanese characters would be a breeze. The red color is a nice expression just sitting in the shirt pocket. The distinctive, utilitarian shirt clip easily identifies the pen as a Lamy. Again, very cool. When you pull this pen out and post the cap, it creates a very nice wooden sounding wind chime type tone. I love it.
