I just love the student. A reliable writer with good ink flow, and I like the 60s and 70s color combos. A great daily carry!

For a $60 fountain pen, the Kaweko with an extra fine nib is surprisingly great. A pleasure to write with using Edelstein ink cartridge. It's a great daily worker that saves my more expensive pens for lighter or more formal use.
The only thing better is to spend 3x the money for a gold nib pen (several great brands).

Ordered in EF - Gorgeous pen! Was intially a bit nervous about having to order the converter separately, but this works and feels like a dream! Genuinely our favorite pen right now.

I feel like these pens aren’t appreciated enough! They have such a lovely weight to them, and are a joy to work with. I find the section very comfortable to hold and not at all slippery despite being metal. I wish they came in even more colors!

A bit of a hard starter even in a larger nib. I like the pen, a little bit heavy posted, but feels nice in the hand and write nicely after you get it started.

Don't let the name "Student" fool you into thinking that this is somehow a lesser pen. I have several in the series titled for musical decades, and every one is a winner. I use a fine nib, and these pens write every time, smoothly and reliably. Students are lightweight, comfortable, and well balanced (I don't post the cap). Looking forward to more additions to the series.
