Kaweco Skyline Sport Fountain Pens Reviews
The best pocket pen. I always keep mine on me.
The nib got a little funny after I let my kids use it, but still makes a nice wet Extra fine line.
The main problem with these is the converter. I only use waterproof bottled inks, so I use the converter. It has tiny capacity and it awkward to fill. But it works, and I don't need huge capacity for occasional notes.
I use Noodlers Bulletproof Black in this pen because it works well with post papers.

This is the second Kaweco I purchased, and the fifth fountain pen I acquired for myself. I had a variety of Lamy Safaris, 1 Logo, and 1 Kaweco Ice Sport to compare the Skyline Sport against. I debated getting this Skyline Sport because I was a bit concerned about some of the negative reviews I'd read of this Kaweco series in particular. However, I just didn't like the gold trim of the Classic as much as the silver of the Ice Sport and Skyline Sport. After acquiring an Ice Sport and loving the nib feel, I quickly acquired the mint color as well.
I have the mint color Skyline Sport with Broad nib because I wanted something on the totally opposite end of my general F nib preference. The ink flow in the B nib is so smooth and consistent, and the shading you can see for inks with this B nib is gorgeous. I love Kaweco nibs. They're just so buttery and smooth. Both my Ice and Skyline sport are part of my daily carry. You just can't beat the portability and reliability of these pens. I am never concerned about them leaking, the caps coming off, or anything like that. It may be annoying for someone who prefer to have clips on their pens to have to pay extra for that feature, but it's not a big deal for me.
I have medium sized hands, and I'm able to use these pens for long periods of writing as much as my Lamy Safaris, which some people with larger hands find they cannot do with Kaweco's smaller size. I also love that the plastic barrels of the Ice and Skyline allow me to eye dropper these pens, which gives me so much ink capacity and the ability to use whatever inks I want in the pen. The cartridges for the Kawecos are great too since they use an international standard size rather than Lamy's proprietary cartridges. That's important since I have found no good converters for Kaweco pens.
