Coming from someone who, as a trial lawyer, has occasion to make pages of hand-written notes on a daily basis, a fountain pen is an invaluable tool to avoid hand fatigue. Among fountain pens, the Kaweco Sport is as good as any. Having started with Mont Blancs, Watermans, Parkers, the Kaweco writes every bit as well, is much more durable, and is much less expensive. Other bonuses are the size and portability (with cap on, fits in front pants pocket)as well as the screw-cap, which averts ink bleed-outs on clothing. The only thing that's tedious is the need to separately purchase a pocket clip, as an accessory.

I love the small size - as small as a Pilot Petit but classier. I had a problem with the ink cartridge not matching up properly with the nib section nor laying down enough ink, so Pen Chalet's superb service department sent me a new nib section and now the pen performs quite nicely. I did add in a clip since this pen does not have one.

The QC problems must be ongoing for Kaweco. I got my F sport in the mail today and the I’m having the same baby’s bottom problems with nib that I did with my last one. Really disappointing for such a promising pen.

In my opinion, Kaweco Sport pens are simply brilliant. I carry two in my jacket pocket at all times: these are the kind of pen you can carry around with you without any fear of damaging or losing them, because they are as robust as they are inexpensive. And of course, they write terribly well.
