Kaweco AL Sport Fountain Pens Reviews

The thing I really like about this pen is how compact it is. With the cap on it is relatively small and I am able to put it in my pocket. It writes well and is well balanced. For the price it is hard to beat. Highly recommend!

I just purchased my first Kaweco pen. I was first intrigued by the Kaweco brand due to its German manufacture, historic significance and super inexpensive price. I decided to purchase a Kaweco AL Sport (in Black aluminum). The pen comes in a nice tin presentation box. The pen is definitely compact size with is cap screwed on, measuring approximately 4 inches. However after I started using the pen (which I always use posted and measures approximately 5 inches) is perfect in its weight and feel. At 5 inches this pen, when posted, it is the identical size of many of my other fountain pens when they are not posted, which is how I use them. The pen's compactness makes it easy to throw in my pocket or in my briefcase for all occasion use. The Kaweco AL Sport has a steel nib with silver trim and is available with a silver clip. The aluminum octagonal body makes this pen heavy for its size and has a cool metallic feel to it when using. My pen came with one blue Kaweco cartridge, which once primed, worked flawlessly without any skipping or drying out as long as the cap is replaced after use. I have really enjoyed my new pen and would highly recommend it to both fountain pen collectors and fountain pen novices alike.
