I had a little trouble with the first nib I received, but the Pen Chalet team sent me a replacement ASAP! I was really impressed with the customer service responsiveness and willingness to fix the problem.

Really a comment about Pen Chalet's outstanding customer service.
When I ordered this pen it was not available in Fine but when I spoke to them on the phone they swapped out a Fine from another Kaweco and shipped it within the hour! Unfortunately whent he pen arrived the nib had major problems out of the box: hard starts, skipping, inconsistent ink flow (despite my flushing etc.). No problem: they took care of the return and agreed to try the next one they sent me to make sure it worked properly. I now have a beautifully smooth writing AL Sport Fine and am grateful to Pen Chalet for first rate customer support and very fast turnaround times.

This pen is my idea of the perfect EDC fountain pen. I like the weight and feel. It is definitely a step up from the Kaweco Classic Sport. My AL Sport has an EF nib. It writes smoothly and the line thickness us spot on. I prefer to write with the cap posted the balance is much better this way. I love the look of the Stonewashed finish.

The Kaweco AL Sport in Stonewash is the perfect pocket/EDC pen. Although a little on the pricy side, the AL Sport boasts solid build quality and performance. The Fine nib lays down ink a little on the dry side but a small adjustment can easily help with that.

The thing I really like about this pen is how compact it is. With the cap on it is relatively small and I am able to put it in my pocket. It writes well and is well balanced. For the price it is hard to beat. Highly recommend!
