Conklin Duragraph Fountain Pens Reviews
This is a beautiful pen that feels good in your hand with just the right weight. I love the amber translucent color. The nib is fine with attractive gold accent. However, I'm not enjoying this pen in the least. My wife had me buy it for a gift - so I had to see it go. I hope the benefactor will appreciate its quality. As soon as the wife isn't paying attention . . . . I'll order myself one.

The Duragraphs are top-notch in design. And despite what people may say about the Conklin nibs, I have had to dissatisfaction with them, though they have needed some micro-meshing and tuning with brass sheets.

Great pen. I like the "stub" nib. Easy to write with.

I had a couple issues with this Duragraph Amber fp, But I resolved them. I am so pleased with this Conklin. The tines were out of alignment out of the box so I did the finger alignment thing and all is well there. It is a great writer, now. Ink leaked from where the section goes over the converter, but some silicon grease took care of that. The Amber resin is so lovely. I end up just looking at it for a couple minutes every time I use it. My other Conklin modles had no problems out of the box. These are really good fountain pens!

Beautiful-looking pen, but the nib's ink flow was dry and dragged across the page and had to be returned for repair or replacement. Having to repair a brand new pen is rather disconcerting. Hopefully, this is not a common occurrence. I await the return of my pen. We'll see. My comments are made in view of my initial experience. I hope I will have cause to feel differently, once the pen is returned and put to use.

I purchased the "Red Nights" stub Duragraph, which in my opinion is prettier than most of the others...except possibly the orange one. It's a smooth writing pen with a reasonably good ink capacity...and it comes with a threaded converter! For the large part, I like and enjoy all of the Yafa products (Monteverde, Conklin) I've purchased...and that's several. With that said...the 1.1mm stub on this seems to write a little "small"...but it's possible that's just my perception since my favored stub is a 1.5mm.

I love it. I have the Cracked Ice finish and it's beautiful. It's well balanced, not too heavy, and writes beautifully. There's a reason Conklin Pens were Samuel Clemens' pen of choice.
