Sailor Shikiori Doyou is an excellent ink. It's a very dark brown, almost black. Can pass for a black in a setting where blue or black is required. Really excellent performer in every paper and pen I've tried. Perfect wetness, not too wet, not too dry. It has another really interesting quality in that it seems to not just not stain but actually somehow removes stains from demonstrators that were previously stained. Easy to clean. One of my favorites. Wish it was a bit cheaper and came in larger bottles but you get what you pay for I guess. Given Sailor's propensity to discontinue inks, I bought two bottles, one for current usage and one as a backup.

This is one of my favorite color inks. I first got it as a sample and just had to get a bottle. Got it, and I am glad I did. It is just a beautiful color. No shade no sheen. Just beautiful as is.

Beautiful ink, though a bit pricey for the smaller amount. Still, I do think it's well worth it--just wish it came in a bigger size!

I should have done more research prior to purchasing this color. It is a very pale shade, and its probably more useful for drawing. The color is nice, but is a little too light for me.

This line is my 2nd favorite ink range. Great colors, flows wonderfully in pens...just an absolute joy to write with. This ink in particular makes a Pilot Metropolitan feel like a $300 pen. They just pair so well together. Highly recommend!

Really wish these came in a bigger bottle. Yama-Dori is a beautiful color teal and the burgundy sheen is really nice.
