Sailor Manyo (50ml) Fountain Pen Ink Reviews
I've purchased several Sailor Manyo inks. Haha & Nekoyanagi are both are nice with crazy color changes but can be a little too light depending on the pen. I like both a lot but I don't immediately reach for them like I do Kuzu - also from this line.

I absolutely love the color, ink flow, and way that this ink writes. It has beautiful color and terrific properties. Paired this with my TWISBI Cement Grey w/broad nib and my, is it perfect!

Neikoyanagi requires the right pen and ink to display its splendor. I use a broad nib and this ink brightens long Winter days

These are gorgeous inks. What can I say? Best results on Tomoe River paper (especially if you want the sheen), but gorgeous all around.

Sailor Manyo bottles are heavy glass, perfect design either to ink pens or brushes. Nice delicate logo. The ink is exactly as Pen Chalet's photo (appreciate it) with medium flow, easy cleaning, a bit of shade depending on the paper. Some inks don't bring the sample option but Pen Chalet has always had those that I want to try first before getting a full ink bottle. Always screwed tightly so I never receive them with leaks instead perfectly secure, clean, well packed and fast delivery from Pen Chalet!

I'm in love with soft, muted, pastel inks. The Sailor Mayo Nekoyanagi is just so very beautiful especially in use with a broad nib. It shades wonderfully. Starts darker and proceeds to get lighter and then some more shading happens...it's just lovely. If you are into soft, muted, pastel inks, this ink is for you!

Love the pastel choices! They are sheer and offer up nice shading attributes - they are a bit costly, but for me they were worth it for the sheer pastels that shade nicely in flex nibs.

Manyo Haha is a whimsical, multi-toned color and it really needs a wet, preferably broad nib and excellent paper to shine. It is mainly a lighter blue color but when it pools, can be purple and green and is beautiful to look at, like liquid opals. I don't think it's a practical ink for normal writing as it can be fairly light and hard to read in drier nibs but in broader, wet nibs can make for some lovely calligraphy or flourished writing. Bought it simply for the eye popping shading and have been using it in a semi-flex nib to show off that multi-tonal shading.
