Sailor Jentle Bottled Ink(50ml) Fountain Pen Ink Reviews
Love this color. Like slick mud when it first hits the page. The darkest brown I own. Ian’s super wet.

I love inks that are light and sheer, they can offer beautiful shading characteristics on good bright white papers. All three of the inks I've tried from this line have been worth every penny. The Apricot, Waka-Iguisu, a light olive green, and most recently the Fuji-Musume, a pale lavender shade I almost didn't buy is my new favorite. The apricot is quite light-best with medium, broad or stub nibs. I use extra fine nibs and they are readable but light. The olive and lavender offer up the best shading. The olive almost looks like two inks, a light and dark olive, stirred but not quite mixed together, a great effect, that lays down a lovely spring green color. The lavender has fantastic shading and offers up some interesting tones as it dries. Try them on white Tomoe papers to get their full effect. It's like writing with watercolors; I plan to try them out as "watercolors" on my watercolor pad in brush pens, should be great. If light or sheer colors appeal, try some samples, they won't disappoint. Good deposition, albeit light saturation, fabulous shading qualities and fast drying. One issue I have is the bottle, can be difficult to extract when ink is low, a minor thing. Kudos to Sailor and many thanks to Pen Chalet for the great prices, well packed boxes and fast delivery time!

Really nice ink but the bottle can be a problem when filling larger nib pens.

This is my "go-to" bottle ink. I have several colors in collection, very like how it flows on the paper.

Had to pick up a few bottles before the new ones were launched (more economical than the 20ml bottles). Love this brand. Rikyu-cha, Tokiwa-matsu, and Miruai are my favorites (all green, but so different from each other!). I enjoy the plastic insert which aids in filling.

Awesome ink. I love the color and it dries very quickly. Only con is that there is a very slight smell; I don’t mind it but I’m also using an EF nib.
