I did not know about Robert Oster inks until I was able to test his inks at a local Pen Show. Incredible colors. Incredible inks. I purchased a few bottles and little did I know at the time I would use his inks to draw/sketch with. I filled my TWSBI GOs (stub 1.1) with his inks and found a wonderful combination. I do my initial drawings and then use a water brush to pull out the ink's characteristics (colors/hues). Brilliant colors! My fave are Bronze, Blue Black, Thunderstorm, African Gold, Whisper Red, Copper, Fire and Ice, Grey Seas, Eucalyptus Leaf, Sydney Darling Harbour to name a few. Robert Oster is known for his fabulous blue colors. They are too many to name here.

Nice violet black color that leans on the black side. The violet color can be seen if you spread it on a paper but it's more toward the bluish gray side. The violet is also noticeable if you look really close compared to a black ink. Not waterproof so try not getting the whole paper wet in water. Would recommend it if work insisted on only black and you want to get a different ink that no one but you would know
