Noodlers Bottled(3oz) Fountain Pen Ink Reviews
I got the Noodler's North African Violet as a freebee thank goodness. It is a very nice rich, saturated color that is very water resistant, and it performed well in my Franklin-Christoph model 02 with a 1.1mm stub nib. Now many Noodler's inks tend to have a bit of an oder, but this stuff simply reeks. The second I uncapped the pen the chemical stench filled the air, with an underlying hint of vinegar. I had to dump it and thoroughly wash the pen because even the cap stunk inside. What really annoys me is that I recently bought a bottle of Monteverde Charoite which exactly matches N.A.V. in color without the smell. I don't know if this turned in storage or if it was just a bad batch, but for me it is unusable. Noodler's is my favorite brand, so I hope this occurrence was just a fluke. I'm giving it a "Poor" rating only because of its' odiferous nature.

54th Mass is by far the wettest ink I’ve ever used. It also dries incredibly fast and has minimal feathering. This is a remarkable ink that I’ve gotten numerous friends addicted to.

I am just learning different inks. I find this one to be very good. It flows very well. It is a little darker than I thought but that is fine.

I love the color of Baystate Blue! I have it in a dedicated pen so I'm not concerned with its infamous staining properties. It gets a little ghosting and bleed-thru on cheap paper, but it's great on fountain pen friendly paper!

I know not everyone likes Noodler's ink, but I love it. I have many of them and I like most of the ones that I have. They are awesome and do what they are advertised to do.

I was a bit skeptical about a grey ink, as I loathe pencils, but I actually really like this ink. I originally got it because it is a permanent ink that my fiance liked enough to sign our marriage licence. My favorite color is purple and I could not convince her to sign in purple... I like how this is a true grey, and not a weak black. It adds some variation in my journal coloring.

I bought Bad Blue Heron and 54th Mass. for the life of me, I can’t tell any difference in color. They both are a teal-y blue black. Pretty disappointed.

Great color of red and enjoy writing with it. Would be great for teacher's correcting papers or make comments on reports that would get noticed.
