I wasn't a fan of this "what the heck is it Color". 54th Mass. But I recently entered a Blue/Black phase and it is quite nice with the typical Noodlers quality and performance. It is in rotation. Now, if I could only learn to like the Black Swan Australian Roses.........

Variation in quality is frustrating! Sampled this ink before buying a bottle and found it to be excellent - not too dark, but not too light. Unfortunately, this particular bottle is way lighter. It has some shading, but the lighter shade is way too faint to be useable. Tried various pens, but really don't want to be forced to use this ink with a broad nib. I bought this along with Noodler's Apache Sunset which also was much lighter than the sample I tried. I have lost faith in Noodler's and will only stick to solid, non-shading colors such as Baystate Blue and Heart of Darkness!
