Namiki Standard Bottled Ink(60ml) Fountain Pen Ink Reviews
Any company that adds value to their product by excellent design will get my vote anytime. I haven't used the ink yet, because I just like looking at the bottle on my vintage oak desk.

This is a great ink in a cute bottle. The ink appears to be the same that comes in the Pilot cartridges, and it works well in every pen I've tried and most paper.

Bought it for the bottle, ended up liking the ink. Nothing exotic color-wise, but have used it in several vintage pens with various nibs, old calligraphy Osmiroid and Pelikan stub nibs with nary a flow problem -- good function in my Pilot Falcon flex (M), too, and this nib can be tricky with the wrong ink. Still love to look at that bottle!

The standard Namiki inks arrive in easy-to-fill-from bottles, reasonably priced, well behaved, and possessing some water resistance (at least the black and blue). For more colors, try the more expensive Iroshizuku offerings made also by Pilot.

The blue is a modest blue - not sensational. It is somewhat water resistant but not for water colorists, I think. I have a couple pens that need the flow characteristics.

It's a clean blue color, without much turquoise or purple going on. From this perspective it's quite unique and I can see it always present in my stash. Good flow, nice lubricating properties, normal behavior on paper, certain water resistance. It mixes well with other inks and for that alone I'd keep it. Whether you want to improve the flow of, say, Diamine Onyx Black or to tame Private Reserve Supershow Blue, Pilot Blue comes to help.
That being said, the color is on the subtle side and may not suit if preferences are for bright saturated colors.
