Both the blue and black offer high water-resistance, quality and a unique glass bottle that makes them a go-to for business writing and envelopes of all sorts. Nice colors, good saturation and ease of cleaning compared to most "waterproof" inks makes these low cost, high quality inks a great alternative in a desktop worthy bottle.

The Namiki Blue is as good a workhorse daily-use blue as you'll find, attractive and vibrant with even a little water resistance.

Have only used this ink once in my Waterman Hemisphere Med nib; no complaints on that; a standard blue good for everyday writing. However, when cleaning the pen and the cartridge, it did stain the light colored sink in my bathroom where I usually clean out my pens. (Not sure what the sink is made out of - maybe some kind of acrylic; not glazed porcelain.) The stain pretty much, but not 100%, came out after several cleanings, but now I know to clean out this ink in the kitchen sink which is stainless steel and has a wider drain opening. Attracted by the design of the glass bottle.
