This review is for the Dark Lilac color of the Lamy ink. Lamy really hit it out of the park with this one. Eye-catching, beautiful, complex color that I actually wound up using -- and I don't typically use purple ink. Limited production run, but I hope they bring it back in the regular lineup. They have a winner with this one.

I bought the blue from pen chalet, and I have the red ink from another source.
The red is beautifully behaved, even on the worst of papers and in wet pens. I’ve never had it bleed when using western fine or finer pens. It’s not a true red (kind of pink, depending on the lighting and paper) but it works well for markups at work, which is all I use it for. It’s pretty easy to clean, too, especially considering that it’s a red ink. I’ve left it in pens for months and cleaned it out just fine.
The blue was less exciting. Unlike the red, it does tend to bleed some on more absorbent papers. It does dry quickly, though, and is a nice ballpoint blue color. It also will wash out of clothing, which is nice.
The bottle design is amazing, with the nib indent in the bottom of the bottle. You will be able to fill without a syringe for 48 of the 50 mL of ink. The inclusion of blotting paper to clean the nib is also great. The neck is wide, and all filling types work well.

I use cheap paper a lot. I do a tremendous amount of writing and I see no need in going to great expense for paper. For me, this was way too dim. It was difficult to see and it was used in a Lamy Al Star EF nib.

A bright blue similar to the deepest blue of a sunny sky. Flows very well. Bottle design is hand with recessed well in bottom except recess could be a bit deeper I think. The blotter strip holder is actually the base with a hole in the middle for the filling recess to drop down into.

This might well be my favorite ink ever. A gorgeous deep saturated color, with a good deal of beautiful shading. How I wish there were more!
