I enjoy matching inks to pens, and Blue Calanque is beautiful with the turquoise Conklin Durograph. J Herbin inks are wet and shade well, too. It's also nice to try a small size before committing to a larger bottle.

These small 10ml. bottles are the perfect size and price , I don't need a 3 oz. bottle of ink any more than I need a 12 pack of pens at the local stationary chain store

I like the J Herbin inks, and I like this smaller bottle for trying out new colors. It's much larger than a sample but still small, a very cute glass bottle. I ordered Violette Pense and it's a pretty purple and flows well.

J. Herbin seems to be the only one or one of the very few brand names that offer more than a dozen 10ml, travel-size bottled ink of different colors. There are times when you like to have certain favorite color ink on hand but not in great quantity. In my situation, it is also practical to have multiple available colors for the glass dip pen works in an economical way. Just in case when I want to ink up the fountain pens from this small bottles, I resort to the ink miser I got from Pen Chalet to do that.

I bought Amber and Cafe. The amber dries lighter than it applies, and is a golden color. The Cafe dries darker than it applies and is a warm brown. Neither is water resistant when dry. The 10 ml size is perfect for trying new ink, and the bottle is quite convenient for using a dip pen.
