I LOVE these inks. Extra flare with out a high price. Subtle glitter in some--the ink color/glitter combination really makes a difference. Cocoa shimmer is my ultimate favorite out of the colors I have (purple pazzazz, moondust, and blue flame). Next step will be to get some very fountain pen friendly notebooks to really enjoy these beauties.

Diamine is one of my favorite ink brands, and I love using these shimmer colors. I've used Magical Forest, Night Sky, and Red Lustre on my Christmas cards and envelopes, using pens with 1.1 mm stub nibs. I recently also ordered Blue Pearl and it has become an instant favorite. The silver shimmer is very consistent in a Pilot Metropolitan with a Plumix M stub nib. I plan to use this ink for special notes throughout the year; it's just a beautiful ink. I do shake the bottle to mix in the sparkles before inking my pens, and I gently agitate the pen from time to time as I'm writing. I've used these shimmer inks for two Christmases and have had no problems when cleaning them from my pens. They are well behaved inks and the shimmer adds just a bit of uniqueness to your writing. I plan to order one of the newest set of shimmer colors as well when I can make up my mind which color.

I love the Shimmering Inks. I bought the Blue Lightning; Blue Pearl; Magical Forest; Brandy Dazzle; Golden Sands & Shimmering Seas. They are all beautiful and offer a lot of sparkle.

The shimmer in this line of ink is far finer in nature than in the J Herbin - not better or worse, but different. The bottle has a really small opening, much like the J Herbin, and this does make filling pens a challenge.

On my first fill. Using a med nib with good flow the silver sparkle does show up if you look for it. Very subtle. The ink flows well.
