It's a bespoke converter for a Platinum product. It just works. There's no agitator like in the cartridges so ink may get stuck on the sides easier and subsequently starve the feed.

This converter seems better and more solidly built than most converters I have used. It fits snugly in the pen - which is important because I have had a number of other pens where the converter slipped out completely while carrying the pen around, causing the pen to suddenly dry out and ink leakage when opening to investigate...So this Platinum converter is a real pleasure.
