Writing with a glass dip pen is a newly discovered pleasure for me. Of course, there is the practical benefit of using it to test sample inks. But writing with a glass dip pen is uniquely satisfying. Plus, I appreciate the simplicity and the history of a technology that dates back to the 17th century. The process of writing with a dip pen allows me to collect my thoughts and organize ideas before committing them to paper and I find that I look for excuses to use it.
One final comment - the dip pen is a wonderful tool for applying shimmering inks. It doesn't clog and cleans with a simple wipe from a damp paper towel. What can I say? I love this pen!
