This is a pushbutton converter with a large capacity. I can write for weeks with it. It's much easier to manage than a twist converter because it is usable one handed. It is difficult to clean all the ink out when changing colors. I had to use a syringe to flush what accumulated behind the piston.

I have several of these installed in a battery of medium Kaküno pens for doing crosswords. They hold enough ink to let me figure out what 23 Down is for weeks. As others have said, they are a bit of a nuisance to clean and there is a learning curve associated with filling them. Neither is insurmountable, though. Fill the converter halfway with water, close off the open end with a fingertip, and shake shake shake. Pour out the inky water, rinse, and repeat until the water running out is as clear as the water running in, then repeat once more for good measure. And filling them just needs to be practiced, so write more.

I got this to use with a Kakuno. It definitely holds a lot of ink, but I like switching inks often and cleaning it out is a massive pain, so much so that I've fallen back on my CON-40's and empty cartridges.

If you have a regular sized Pilot fountain pen consider getting this converter. It holds a fair amount of ink and will allow you to write for a long time.

Only one thing to keep in mind is how to use this converter. I differs from the standard converter where you just twist the top to fill it with ink. This converter requires you to press and release the top. DO NOT TRY AND BE GENTLE with this one. A timid press and release will not get you much ink inside. Just bam bam bam bam the top and the ink will fill the chamber just fine.

Pilot CON-70 converters just flat out work and work well in Pilot Custom Fountain pens. They hold more ink then most other converters on the market. If they have a drawback, it's when it's time to clean and/or change ink. They do take more time to clean. That barely makes a blip on my radar. I don't purchase any Pilot fountain pens unless it can fit this converter inside (not all pilot F. Pens can fit this particular converter in it's barrel, as the CON-70 is fairly long). It's too bad Pilot doesn't make a similar converter to work in place of the std international converter, as they wouldn't be able to keep them on the shelves!

This is my first CON-70 converter. It's a little different for me! But it appears to be working as advertised and doing well.

I bought it to use in my Pilot Kakuno pen. It fits well (it's LARGE), and seems to work fine.

I bought this to put in my new Custom 74. Holds ink very well, has amazing capacity. I knocked off a star since it can be tricky to get a full fill, but should come with practice.
