I’ve used many different pens and inks in this notebook so far. It is a good fit with fine or medium nib fountain pens but the more “luscious” shading ink colors do not really stand out, they fade slightly as it dries- especially noticeable with broad/music nibs. Micron, Copic, and Winsor & Newton Fineliners look crisp and do not ghost (up to .5mm). Great for pencils, too. I got the blank journal. The feel of cover plus the thick inside flaps are nice. I’ve had good results penciling in and then going over lettering with various markers. Definitely “spread-worthy,” if one is not a fan of bright links ala Sailor Ink Studio 473.

This is a nice blank notebook. BUT, if you are looking for white paper similar TR or Clairfontain you will be disappointed. The paper quality is good, cover of notebook is nice. The color is light cream or ivory. I will not be buying this notebook again and I will be gifting it to someone else.
